Driving south on 219, saw large object rise up and hovering over river. Stopped at bridge, as did two other cars, and watched. Object eventually rose and moved off, out of sight, toward area of Laurel Mountain. Explanation: Meteor.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One gray elliptical, about 80 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed by one male 67-year-old witness on a farm for ten minutes. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
