4 July 1987 Evening Pensacola, Florida, USA 
Outside setting off sparklers, spotted light. light headed south, turned toward them, moving to within 30 feet of them. Both ran into the house, screaming.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One multi-colored ball, about 5 feet across, about fifty feet away, was observed in clear weather by two female witnesses, typical age 48, in the suburbs for five minutes. No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
