In September 1959 19:30 Wheeling, West Virginia, USA 
Three followed dog to golf course and saw object in north sky reflect sunlight. It passed behind trees, got within 75 yards, landed on grass for 9-10 minutes. object lifted off silently and flew "flat and smooth" moving to east.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One gray disc, about 20 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed in clear weather by three male witnesses, typical age 53, on a golf course for ten minutes. A swishing sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
