Metallic disc 30 feet diameter, shone blue-white beam of light on car. Engine and lights died, car body got hot to touch. Hovered 60 feet overhead few minutes, retracted beam slowly (coherent light beam).
An object was observed. Electromagnetic and gravity effects were noted. One metallic disc, about 40 feet across, about fifty feet away, was observed in clear weather by one experienced male witness (as reported to the police) and others on a highway for a few minutes (Maarup). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 433: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
