50 feet triangle overhead, silent, 5 bright lights. Back again on 2/1/1999
An object was sighted by multiple independent witnesses that had an appearance and aerobatic performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One triangle, about 80 feet across, around 100 feet away, was observed by four witnesses on the shore (Altshuler). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 442: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
