In January 1980 Daytime Carlsbad, New Mexico, USA 
UFO crossed in front of Carlsbad Caverns entrance. "It was just hovering there and then it turned red and went straight up."
A hovering flying disc was observed and photographed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One dark disc was observed by seven witnesses, four of them an experienced observors, at a cavern (Bordersfeld). No sound was heard.
