Army Vet incident. Explanation: Balloon.

Large, football-shaped object with brilliant metallic sheen, seen near lake E2M of Dresser. Closed to 200m,moved over lake, seen again over gravel pit, ascended at 85 degree angle.


An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight.

One metallic football-shaped object, about 10 feet across, around 500 feet away, was observed in clear weather by five male witnesses, typical age 25, at a lake for five minutes (Hogan).


Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs
Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
Vallee reliability rating: 143: Report attributed to a known source of unknown or uncalibrated reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
