Transair DC-3 incident.
Transair chief pilot and mechanic saw nearly round, slightly elliptical UFO with metallic shine flying near the speed of sound in opposite direction from aircraft . Possibility of Russian drone not discarded. A flying disc was observed. One metallic disc, about 40 feet across, was observed in overcast weather by two experienced male witnesses in-flight for 12 seconds (Christiernsson, Ulf). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 322: Reliable source, firsthand; site visited by persons familiar with the phenomena; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
