Metallic cigar shaped object took off from maize field, made hissing sound. Crushed, dehydrated plants at landing site.
A hovering object was observed and photographed. Ground traces were found. Animal reactions to the object were reported. One metallic cigar-shaped object, about 40 feet across, was observed by several male witnesses, typical age 14, on a farm for six seconds (Pozzi). A hissing sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
