Pilots incident. Explanation: Balloon.
Blimp shaped object outdistanced planes at high speed. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One blimp-like object, about 10 feet across, was observed by four military witnesses for over 15 minutes (James). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
