Craft with windows. Speed under 100 mph to the east.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One rectangular object, about 40 feet across, was observed in clear weather by one male 36-year-old witness for over four minutes (Eames). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
