USO - Unidentified submerged object. Amber beam 4-6" in diameter, attached to bright metal object, in 4-6' water, moving at 4-6 knots. Fisherman repeatedly beat it away with oar.
An object was sighted by multiple independent witnesses that had an appearance and aerobatic performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One object, about 10 feet across, was observed by four male military witnesses, typical age 42, on a river (Crews; Ryan). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
