25 June 1964 : Spring Valley, Nevada, USA 
Spinning top with pyramidal sides and 2' long pedestal, about size of Jeep, shiny plastic color. Rested on highway, rose 10', landed again. Took off, flew horizontal. Similar UFO sighted 1964-06-30 in SC.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One shiny top-shaped object, about 80 feet across, was observed by two male witnesses on a road for over four minutes (Rogers). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 143: Report attributed to a known source of unknown or uncalibrated reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
