17 February 1968 Around 0600 Keats Island, British Columbia, Canada 
UFO fly by from north to south at 6am (predawn). Long dark object with yellow and red lights on each end. Lights would dim out at times.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One dark oblong object was observed by one single female witness in a forest (Niblett). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
