Police Sergeant incident. Explanation: Balloon.
Bright red light. Sharply outlined sphere, glowing bottom, silver on top; bigger than full moon, 100-150 feet diameter, minimum distance one city block. An object was observed. Multiple independent witnesses. One sphere, about 150 feet across, was observed in clear weather by over 8 male witnesses, typical age 38, as reported to the police, in a forest for over 25 minutes (Beisner). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: NL: Nocturnal Lights Vallee rating: FB1: A simple sighting of a UFO traveling in a straight line across the sky. Vallee reliability rating: 332: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
