Amateur Astronomer incident.
Reddish brown ovoid object, 10x size of moon, sighted by clergyman 100m away. rapidly to the northwest An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One brown ovoid object, the size of the moon, around 300 feet away, was observed in clear weather by one experienced male witness on the shore for over one minute (Boethin). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
