Red orange ball of light emitted flash and one dog barked "unusually long and loud." UFO was 30 feet solid object, spun at high speed, paced car, jumped to spot directly behind car 3' above. Road bathed in light.
An object was observed from a car. Animal reactions to the object were reported. One red-orange ball, about 40 feet across, was observed by more than two witnesses for over five minutes (Ballard). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
