3' long red cigar landed in nearby bog. Witness attempted to grab it, but it began spinning and rose out of sight. three red stripes around center, saucer-shaped base.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One red cigar-shaped object, about 5 feet across, was observed by two witnesses, a married couple, in a swamp for a few minutes (Hutchinson). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
