Electromagnetic effects: tractor stalls, repair activity as hovered, shot straight up.
A flying disc was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Electromagnetic effects were noted. One disc, about 150 feet across, was observed in cloudy weather by one experienced male witness at a mountain for over 15 minutes (Hawks, R). A humming sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness.
