Pear-shaped, paced aircraft, shot up An object was observed from a car. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One white pear-shaped object, about 80 feet across, was observed in cloudy weather by several male experienced military witnesses on the ocean for over 15 minutes (Akhuchatov; Akhuratov; Kyncy; Nakhtinov; Ruppelt; Stevens). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
