Hotel Guest incident.
Red object, 36' diameter, lands on sand, 4-5 minutes later took off with violent noise, vanished. Port city exports nitrates and copper. An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One red object, about 40 feet across, was observed by one male witness on the shore (Zamuido). A loud sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
