Teen shoots at 4' diameter black disc with silver ring around it. Altitude 80 feet Heard clank, then UFO gone. Explanation: Hoax.
An object was observed. It buzzed a witness. One black disc, about 5 feet across, around 100 feet away, was observed by two male teenage witnesses in a swamp for over one minute (Moore; Musa). A whirring sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
