Car engine skipped and lights dimmed, witness stopped to check engine in midst of rainstorm. Got out of car, saw disc with glowing rim that sparked in sequence, 200 feet above him.
An object was observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. One gray disc, about 40 feet across, around 300 feet away, was observed by one male witness in a rural area for a few minutes (Schofield, R). A humming sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 343: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
