Red cyclinder hangs over tree for 9 hours. Departs rapidly to the southwest very fast when approached.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One red cylinder, about 10 feet across, was observed in overcast weather by numerous witnesses in a forest for nine hours. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
