Collier Thrift incident.
Flashing red light flew less than 20 feet above sea, passed under 1 mile off port of ship before crashing into sea. Ship's radar indicated two objects had landed in ocean. Objects were tracked by radar and sighted visually that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. More than two red lights were observed by four male witnesses on the ocean (Murray). Hynek rating: RV: Radar-Visual UFO reports Vallee rating: MA2: MA1 plus any physical effects caused by the UFO.
