In Late 1962 Night Rio Colorado, Argentina 
Grass burnt in ellipse 18 m long, soil had uniform mineral appearance. Analyzed by Museum La Plata as magnesium.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Ground traces were found. One white light, about 80 feet across, was observed by two witnesses, a married couple, in a rural area (Borlandelli). Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 212: Reliable source,secondhand; site visit by a casual person not familiar with the phenomena; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
