27 May 1971 Dusk Itaperuna, Brazil 
Greenish domed disc UFO, humming. Witness approached to 10m invisible barrier, unconscious. Burnt grass.
An object was observed. Physiological effects were noted. Traces found. One green domed disc, about 40 feet across, was observed by two male witnesses in a rural area for 20 minutes (Leite; Silva). A humming sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness.
