Tall hairy biped, went into woods near canal. two 14-yr-old boys chased by it. Disc took off from same field. Many reports of UFOs in area. Explanation: Cloud.
Close encounter with a an unidentified craft and monstrous occupants. One disc was observed by more than three witnesses, typical age 14, at a canal (Beeston; Milne, L; Wood). One 6.5-foot-tall hairy being was seen. The first encounter with a tall, hairy creature occurred at 0530A; no details are available. Later in the day, Miss Linda Milne saw a tall hairy creature going into the woods near the old Wantage canal. Two anonymous 14-year old boys said they were chased by it; when they threw stones at it, it ran towards them. They scaled a fence and the creature did likewise. Later, they observed a disc take off from the same field. At the time, there were many reports of UFOs in the area.
