Father and son in car driving through city at dawn, see 3' disc with bulge land on street, made jerky movements, then shot straight up.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One disc, about 5 feet across, about fifty feet away, was observed by two male witnesses in a city for 42 seconds (McLean). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
