Scientist Woods Hole saw 5m diameter translucent like fiberglass sphere with protruding antennae hover 90 seconds after fast descent. No distance estimate. No radar reports in area with 24hr coverage. Explanation: Balloon.
A hovering object was observed. One sphere, about 20 feet across, was observed in clear weather by five male witnesses, typical age 46, on the ocean for two minutes (Veeder).
Hynek rating: DD: Daylight Discs
Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops.
Vallee reliability rating: 433: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
