UFO exploded in view of witnesses, dropping debris. Altitude 2500 feet and /- 50'. Inverted bowl with flat, round bottom, 50 feet diameter, had three bright red lights on trailing edge. Wobbled with roll and pitch, white smoke. Explanation: Balloon.
A mysterious explosion was reported. One domed disc, about 80 feet across, was observed by seven witnesses in a residential area for five minutes (Nicholl).
