USAF B-29 incident. Explanation: Balloon.
UFO first approached aircraft from below, levelled off at same altitude, turned left to intercept, descended out of sight. An object was observed from a car. One orange ball, about 5 feet across, was observed by three experienced male military witnesses in a warplane for over one minute. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops. Vallee reliability rating: 332: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
