Animal reaction: furious barking two dogs. two dimensional rectangle illuminated, 2mx1m, perpendicular to ground, blocked view of vegetation behind, 10m away.
An object was observed. Animal reactions to the object were reported. One luminous rectangular object, about 10 feet across, about twenty feet away, was observed by four witnesses, typical age 45, on a farm for a few minutes (Rodriguez, Manuel; Sanchez). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 232: Reliable source,secondhand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
