Physiological effect. Chief of police driving patrol car, car interior suddenly illuminated by white light, saw disc overhead, shape WWI helmet with blue-green dome, revolving red band. 10 feet beam. Odor.
An object was observed. Physiological effects were noted. One multi-colored domed disc was observed in clear weather by one experienced male witness (as reported to the police) and others on the prairie for 20 minutes (Jantzen; Janzen). Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
