5 June 1967 Daytime Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania, USA 
Principal incident.
Two UFOs high, one low near power lines, sighted during power failure, when UFOs left electricity in school went back on. Damage at two generators at Dam power plant. Objects were observed. Electromagnetic effects were noted. Three objects were observed by 100 witnesses at a school for 90 minutes. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 333: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
