Tests Negative incident. Explanation: BallLightn.
Catena 1, Pewter colored object shaped like storage tank, 4.9m high including legs 1.1m long. White burst of flame, shot up. Ground marks: four imprints on asphalt road, sides 3.35-3.66m. .9m burn spot. An object was observed. Ground traces were found. One metallic cylinder, about 20 feet across, was observed by two male witnesses, typical age 54, on a highway for 12 seconds (Crowder, C). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 343: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
