Elongated object with flashing body lights, light beams at each end. Made sound like vacuum cleaner.
An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One multi-colored elongated object, about 20 feet across, was observed by four male witnesses, two of them an experienced observors, as reported to the police, in a pasture for eight minutes (Dreiling; Rouse; Weehunt). A vacuum cleaner-like sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
