Farmer incident.
30 feet slightly domed disc, very intense white light, illuminated yard, trees, side of house. 10-12' circle melted in snow 16" deep, scorched ground below. Border patrol stopped car, got out, went fast. An object was observed. Traces found. One white domed disc, about 40 feet across, was observed in snowy weather by five witnesses (as reported to the police) on a farm for five minutes (Jubert; Young). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness. Vallee reliability rating: 233: Reliable source,secondhand; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
