Engineer, others, observed domed disc following jet fighters. UFO shot straight up and out of sight.
An object was observed. It buzzed a witness. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One white domed disc, about 80 feet across, was observed by three male witnesses, one of them an experienced observor, in a city for two minutes (Flaherty; Hanson, D). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: MA1: A UFO has been observed which travels in a discontinuous trajectory. i.e. vertical drops, maneuvers or loops. Vallee reliability rating: 443: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
