Nautical UFO, crew of icebreaker watch fiery oval for 12 seconds, object splits in two, falls into ocean.

An object was sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. One fiery oval object was observed by three witnesses on the ice for 12 seconds (Villela).


Hynek rating: CE2: Close Encounters of the Second Kind
Vallee rating: CE2: A CE1 that leaves landing traces or injuries to the witness.
Vallee reliability rating: 433: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
