Domed disc stood on railroad track about 300 yards away. Shafts of orange light shot from it intermittently. No noise, folded legs, took off straight up. Dog avoids site.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Dogs barked at the object. One green domed disc, about 20 feet across, around 1500 feet away, was observed by one male 48-year-old witness on a railroad for 45 minutes (Carbonniere). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
