Brilliant ovoid object moving at high rate of speed sighted by crew of Coast Guard cutter. three radar contacts between 5:10 and 5:20 AM An object was tracked by radar and sighted visually. One white light was observed by several male military witnesses, four of them an experienced observors, in a warship for 27 minutes (Schaefer; Schockley; Schotley; Waring). Hynek rating: RV: Radar-Visual UFO reports Vallee rating: MA2: MA1 plus any physical effects caused by the UFO. Vallee reliability rating: 444: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a skilled analyst; no natural explanation possible, given the evidence.
