CAA incident. Explanation: Malfunct.
Reversed direction for 20 miles at 3600 mph. F-89 pursuit. Many ground witnesses. Objects were tracked by radar and sighted visually. Four objects were observed by nine military witnesses at an airport for 42 seconds. Hynek rating: RV: Radar-Visual UFO reports Vallee rating: MA2: MA1 plus any physical effects caused by the UFO.
