Bluish-gray haystack, oscillating, 200 yards away in field. Traveled diagonally upward for 50', then shot straight up.
A flying disc was observed. It moved with a falling-leaf motion. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One blue domed disc, about 40 feet across, around 500 feet away, was observed by two male witnesses, typical age 27, in a field for over three minutes (Renard). No sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
