USMC F3D-2 Fighter incident.
RAF squadron leader flying second Navy F3D-2 jet fighter, Delta winged UFO passed first jet speed over 240 knots. UFO half length of F3D (22'), wing span about same (20'), third fin on upper half,gun metal color An object was observed. It buzzed a witness. One dark delta-shaped object, about 20 feet across, was observed by one experienced male military witness in a warplane for several minutes (Higgin, Donald). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 342: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of one parameter.
