Airmen incident.
Near collision between UFO and AAL DC-6 airliner. UFO about same size as aircraft. Passengers injured in avoidance maneuver. An object was observed from a car. One light was observed by three experienced male military witnesses at an airfield for 48 seconds (Kidd; Osiecki). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
