GOC incident. Explanation: Reflection.
60m diameter luminous disc and four nocturnal lights shoot up and away when F-86 jets attempt intercept. Flying discs were observed from a car. They departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. Five luminous discs, about 300 feet across, were observed by several male military witnesses at a military facility for 144 minutes (Towner; Wernecke). Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area.
