15' long football, throbbing, soft changing tints, had metallic grillwork,4 rectangular windows, 8-12",dull sound when touched ground, soft swishing on departure, instanct acceleration, gone in three seconds.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One football-shaped object, about 20 feet across, around 100 feet away, was observed in overcast weather by one experienced male witness at an airport for 30 seconds (Gachignard, Gabriel). A swishing sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 343: Reliable source, firsthand; site visit by a skilled analyst; natural explanation requires major alteration of several parameters.
