17 February 1949 Night France, France 
Large bright object landed near farm, green lightning flash. Object became dark. three beings with stocky short legs, no heads. Frightened, witness shot at them three times. Object took off vertically.
An object was observed. It departed by rapidly flying straight up until lost to sight. One green object was observed by one male witness (Berard, A). Three headless beings were seen.
