Army Major incident.
Triangle 30m long, with red light in center, red light later detached and flew around independently. three strong round searchlights on corners, moved at 50mph. Objects were sighted that had an appearance and performance beyond the capability of known earthly aircraft. Two black triangles, about 80 feet across, around 500 feet away, were observed by two experienced male witnesses (as reported to the police) in a pasture for two minutes (Von Montigny). A humming sound was heard. Hynek rating: CE1: Close Encounters of the First Kind Vallee rating: CE1: UFO comes within 500 feet of the witness, but no after effects are suffered by the witness or the surrounding area. Vallee reliability rating: 434: Firsthand personal interview with the witness by a source of proven reliability; site visit by a reliable investigator with some experience; no natural explanation possible, given the evidence.
